ICT Services

Federal Polytechnic Nekede ICT Directorate  offers a wide range of IT services to the Polytechnic community. Some of our core activities are listed below, and you can also find out more about our services from our website (ict.fpno.edu.ng).

  • We provide required hardware service for the community for the purpose of learning, teaching, research and administration.
  • We automate core services for the smooth running of the administration.
  • Data processing, Management services & Technical Support Services.
  • Management of the University Portals for registrations, learning, teaching, payment, etc.
  • ICT Policy & Strategy development and Implementation.
  • Provision and management of video conferencing and virtual learning.
  • Provision of Constant Intranet and Internet connectivity for both staff and student use.
  • Website design, development and Maintenance.
  • We conduct period trainings.
  • Provision and management of electronics teaching aid.
  • Provision and management of video conferencing and virtual learning.
  • Server Maintenance, Electronic file service systems, and Storage Solutions
  • Desktop hardware and software (acquisition, maintenance and support)

Our support staff are very knowledgeable and experienced. They are available to help at the support center and computer lab for needs such as :

  • Generating Online Application forms.
  • Printing old school fees receipt.
  • Registration and printing of course form.
  • Generating Remita Pins for fees payment.
  • Acceptance Fees Payment.
  • Uploading of Document for Screening.
  • Printing Examination Dockets.
  • Application for Hostel Accommodation.
  • Online Payments.
  • Online student data correction.
  • Printing of Jamb Admission Letter.

In addition to handling support requests, ICT is also responsible for regular operational and maintenance work for all the systems and services on the SMARTCAMPUS network.
